I have officially just completed a 15 day juice cleanse. This is something I have wanted to do for quite some time yet hadn’t found the appropriate time to do so until now. I had completed a couple 3 and 5 days cleanses in the past few years though and was satisfied with the results.
Las Vegas is a place where people come from around the world to experience an atmosphere and excitement that they cannot regularly have at home. There is entertainment, nightlife and of course gambling in the most luxurious of settings. Whether a complete amateur or a seasoned professional, everybody hopes to hit the jackpot and leave this city with much more than they arrived with!
My experience in Thibodaux, Louisiana has been filled with nothing but positive memories and experiences. This Louisiana town, which lies on the bayou just south of I-10 is home to about 15,000 people as well as Nicholls State University! A town filled with outgoing people, great food, and for the most part spectacular weather has been my home for the past 8+ months.
This past weekend I got to travel on a luxurious Carnival Cruise ship to Cozumel, Mexico and back! This trip couldn’t have been better with near perfect weather and pristine waters in every direction, I was left to relax, appreciate, and reflect on how good life is! Continue reading
Mardi Gras, which in essence is a celebration of over indulgence prior to beginning the Lenten season was first brought to the United States in the late 17th Century by French Catholic settlers who had claimed the region that now makes up Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama!
With cold weather sweeping the nation bringing frigid temperatures and record snow falls resulting in school cancellations, road closings, and even entire towns being shut down it makes me wonder if this the norm that we will be seeing in the future?
I have been very fortunate to have a few extra days to spend in San Francisco, CA this past week and what a terrific surprise it has been. This city is bustling with high energy and activity in every direction! I feel a high level of positive energy as I stroll the streets and take in the sites and sounds.
Spending the weekend in Memphis, Tennessee a city rich in culture and more than enough options for entertaining yourself! Memphis is prideful of its music, sports, food, and overall southern spirit, which embraces you once, you embark upon its picturesque downtown streets. A vibrant city that lies in the Southwest corner of the state literally only miles from Arkansas to the West and Mississippi to the South!
College basketball season is officially here! The first game day of the year always has a special feel for me as I have dedicated my life, up to this point, to the game of basketball. I have had the opportunity to coach in different systems under a diverse group or coaches and in several different parts of the country, but when that initial game on the schedule finally arrives it is always a very similar feeling.
New Orleans is a city that is recognized world wide for Bourbon Street and the annual Mardi Gras Festivities but you would be missing the boat if that’s all you got out of your experience in the Big Easy!
